The new state license code sets annual and quarterly fees for auctioneers, bankers, theater managers, liquor sellers, pool halls, carriages, railways, lawyers, doctors, architects, builders, manufacturers and more. Fees vary by business size from tens to hundreds of dollars per quarter or year, with many professions exempt for medical sales and certain charitable uses.
The Lewistown Mine column reports the mines at Gilt Edge are incorporated as Ammon-Stivers Mining Co with R. M. Stivers as president Thurber as vice president Wm Louder secretary treasurer and R A Ammon general manager Stivers has been elected president of Murray Hill Bank New York while Thurber joins Thurber Wyland and Co a major New York wholesale grocer The new firm plans to boost mill capacity and undertake major improvements.
A Martinsdale letter reports G R Wilson bought N S Campbell's ranch on Big Elk for 12250 dollars. The purchase enlarges Wilson holdings and reinforces his status as one of Meagher and Montana's leading cattle men with vast grazing lands.
Clyde A. Miller of Victor Montana writes that after taking Hood's Sarsaparilla four bottles revived his health. The 14 year old, 100 pound boy says he is now growing strong again and feeling well.

M. W. Tlatch, publisher of the Big Timber ProNerr, visited Wednesday and stayed to meet Miss Tlelen Raifl of Osceola Iowa, sister of his wife who arrived on the Burlington. He has improved the paper since Sweet Grass county formation and now prints a weekly ranked with the best in the state.
