Jaycee Rodeo Honors Weathered Cooks and Top Cowboys
The Jaycee spectacular drew 115 cowboys for 4500 dollars in prizes with top results across bareback riding eighths saddle bronc bull riding calf roping bulldogging and barrel racing. Notable names include Walt Linderman Alvin Nelson Bob Cullison and Lila Mae Stewart among others. Special guests were 25 Yellow stone Boys Ranch youths as the event unfolded into dusk.

Last Rites Held For Mrs. Ronning
Funeral services for Mrs. Karen Ronning 82 of Big Timber were held at the Big Timber Lutheran church. She died in St Vincent hospital Pillings after a long illness. Interment was in Mountain View cemetery. Survivors include four daughters a son and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her husband and one son had preceded her in death.

Charles Onie Davis Rites Held Friday
Funeral services for Charles Onie Davis 71 who died Tuesday at Fort Harrison veterans hospital were held Friday from the Lowry Chapel with John W. Griffen of Bozeman officiating. American Legion conducted graveside rites at Mountain View with color guard and firing squad. Davis a World War I veteran born in 1888 in Spring Valley Minnesota lived in Montana most of his life and is survived by his widow, daughter Mary Soldat of Richland, Washington, a grandson, a nephew in Canada, four nieces, and other relatives.

Sidney Man Killed On Boulder Road
Roy L. Gunderson aged 36 of Sidney died in a Saturday evening accident ten miles south of Big Timber on the Boulder road near Brownlee's. He was thrown from the car and pinned under it. Passenger Mrs Edith Tracy was hospitalized with a fractured nose bruises lacerations and possible head injuries. The car was wrecked. No inquest was held. Services for Gunderson will be held in Baker on Friday.
