Supreme Court Upholds Platte River Master Recommendation
The Supreme Court largely upholds a special master’s plan for allocating North Platte River waters among Nebraska Wyoming Colorado. The ruling sets a 75 25 split Nebraska to Wyoming with limits on Wyoming storage in Pathinder Guernsey Alcora and Seminoe reservoirs and denies a federal claim to unappropriated waters as largely academic. Justice Roberts dissents arguing the decision departs from interstate water principles.
