Treasury Seeks 150 Million Loan to Round Out Year
The Treasury announced a 150 million dollar loan to finish financing the current fiscal year ending June 30. The six month certificates will bear 4 percent interest and be largely redeemed by next two quarterly tax receipts. Officials say the issue funds government running costs to September 1 and aids refunding of short dated debt started in 1921. The move lowers outstanding certificates by about 200 million and adds to hopes of a 145 million dollar ordinary receipt surplus for the year.

Must Show Cause In Pipe Line Scrape
Fergus county sheriff must show cause in the state supreme court on June 25 why he should not issue a deed for the Montana Pipe Line from the Cat Creek oil field to Winnett. Continental Supply asks for a writ of mandate to compel deed after mortgage foreclosure and sale in 1923. It alleges the line is unused, needs repairs, and requires funds to operate without loss.
