Selmer Solberg joined ten MSC 1914 alums for a special welcome as a dozen Big Timberites received bachelor of science degrees and one doctor of education. The 1914 class included graduates from California Portland and Ottawa.

Braughtons Observe Silver Anniversary
A potluck dinner for about 75 friends and relatives was held at the Dugout for Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Braughton of McLeod on their twenty fifth wedding anniversary Sunday. Suzanne Fallang played background music and two readings were given by Mrs. Vernon Larson. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. William Rauch. Lloyd Broughton and Irene Brownlee were married June 7 1939 in Bozeman and have resided on the East Boulder since.

The Big Timber centennial parade will reuse the traditional route with floats due at city park by 11 30 for pre judging. Entries arriving late face penalties. mounted units line up across the street near the Charlson home and proceed from McLeod Street to the Cort hotel then to Oie Motor Co and the American Legion lot before disbanding.

Rodeo Announcer Don Harrington To Lead Big Timber Jaycee Rodeo
Don Harrington of Butte returns as head announcer for the Big Timber Jaycee rodeo this Sunday. A former contestant and rodeo secretary, he trained on ranches in western Montana and served in the Navy before earning a business degree from the University of Montana. He now announces about 30 rodeos yearly, has worked from Edmonton to the U.S. southern border, and trains quarter horses as a hobby.
