Plummer Left $300000 In Gold Near Robbers Roost

In Butte Montana a legend endures of Henry Plummer and a buried treasure near Robbers Roost. William Owsley, a pioneer and former mayor, recalled finding 30000 in gold dust and nuggets buried within 100 yards of the corral corner. He described the 1860s road agent leader’s capture and hanging, and his belief the gold was never recovered.
