Wool Incentive Payments Made for 1959 Marketing Year
The State Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation office announced incentives for 1959 wool and lamb sales. Wool growers receive 43.20 dollars per 100 dollars of shorn wool. unshorn lambs pay 0.75 per hundredweight. Deductions for advertising reduce payments. Sweet Grass county sent 202 producers 106000 plus in July 1960. Unshorn lamb payments expected by July 19. The 1960 incentive level is 62 cents per round. 1961 to be announced this fall.

Divers from Park County searched the Yellowstone River in Yankee Jim canyon for Budd Howard of Billings 44 who drowned when his kayak capsized near 3 p m Saturday. The corpse was not found after an aerial search and rugged bottom hindered the rescue effort.

Woman Shot by Stray Bullet Near McLeod Ranch
Mrs John Titenca was wounded in the foot by a stray .25-20 bullet Friday evening and hospitalized. Johnny Ellison, 12, son of Mr and Mrs Archie Ellison, was target shooting when the bullet traveled several hundred yards from the Ellison ranch across the river to the Titeca ranch east of McLeod.

Farewell Party for Lowe Family Before Australia Move

Huff Construction Co. of Columbus won the contract to add six rooms to the grade school for about $71,000. Voters approved $76,000 including equipment, leaving a small shortage. Work has begun on the southeast side, with occupancy hoped by December 1 and a completion target of December 15, possibly earlier.

Ingvald Espe Cancer Victim Dies in Seattle
Ingvald Espe, 76, died of cancer in a Seattle hospital July 9 after about two years illness. He and his wife Mary Neste Espe had been in Seattle about a month.
