Benefits Planned for Kevin McCauley Homecoming Benefit Plan
Kevin McCauley is home and a three event fundraiser is planned to defray medical expenses. A basketball game with the Big Timber Independent is set for March in the school gym with tickets at 2.00 for adults and 1.00 for students. A April 16 benefit dance at the American Legion costs 2.50 with proceeds to Kevin and refreshments by the Auxiliary. An Otter Creek 4-H auction and bake sale is being organized, with other groups invited to participate. Funds are being collected at Citizens Bank and 1st State Bank for Kevin.

Two fishermen reported a sack with a cow’s legs and head found on the Yellowstone River near Grey Cliff. Sheriff Ken Thompson said the animal was butchered recently and not mutilated. The sack likely dropped from a bridge onto the ice. investigation continues.

Barn Fire Destroys Pig Barn at Tyler Yellowstone Ranch
A 60 by 75 foot barn used for storage and pig housing burned completely last Thursday night at the Tyler Yellowstone Ranch. Fire Chief Dennis Beer says the blaze may have been sparked by a heat lamp or faulty wiring. about 18 pigs, a sow, a four wheel drive truck, 8 tons of wheat and equipment were lost. Approximately 25 volunteers fought the fire, with one unit remaining until 12:50 AM. Some pigs had returned to stalls during suppression, and resident Jeremy Kinross Wright was not home during the incident.
