Martinsdale reports that Dave Lamb manager of the Bair ranch returned from the British Isles with family treasures. He brought a dirk set with cairngorm, a generations old teapot, and fireplace bras e andirons. Also two Sevres vases of Louis XV period in bleu celeste enamel, 21 inches tall, mounted in bronze armolu with white miniature life-figure paintings. Sevres factories were royal patronage centers in France, famed 1845 to 1870s. porcelain craft declined after 1870.

Former Local Teacher Exonerated In Killings
Two American women clerks at the U S embassy in Kabul Afghanistan have been cleared of any connection to the deaths of two natives whose bodies were found in a well on their property. The state department said Afghan authorities are satisfied the clerks are not implicated. Miss Betty Johnson Brockway Montana and Miss Marilyn Rothfus Buffalo New York occupied the embassy premises and had been in Kabul since 1948.

Club Holds Last Shoot of 1949
The Big Timber Rifle and Pistol club held its final 1949 shoot last Friday with 186 marksmen, 13 sharpshooters, and 5 experts. Teddy Thompson led offhand scoring with 90, the highest of the day, amid plans for a monthly standing-position aggregate prize that becomes permanent after a shooter retains it longest. Visitors included Ted Hetland and S Stenberg. A new shoot is set for January 6 at 7:30 PM at the Moose Club range.

Returns from New York to visit relatives in Brooklyn
