Death of 14 year old Paul K Lamp in San Antonio car crash

Paul K Suhre 14 of Big Timber was killed on the Fredericksburg highway when riding a motorbike he swerved into an oncoming car. He died at a San Antonio hospital about 30 minutes later. Funeral at St Mark's Episcopal church in Big Timber Friday at 2:30. He was buried beside his father Paul Lamp Jr.

Mikkel Breck and Berte Lomeland Wed in Big Timber

Mikkel Breck and Berte Lomeland were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony at the Big Timber Lutheran church. Rev E Tollefson officiated. The couple, witnessed by about 50 relatives and friends, left for a wedding trip to Chicago and points east.

Arizona church wedding in Tucson for Mary Ann Work and Edwin Jordan

Mary Ann Work and Edwin Wingate Jordan wed in a 2:30 PM Episcopalian ceremony at St. Phillips of the Hills Tucson. The bridal party included Miss Mitei Work and Miss Cynthia Power. Mr. Jordan's best man was Walter Jordan II. Guests came from Minnesota California Arizona Montana with family ties noted to the Shields Ranch area and Montana State College. The couple plan a wedding trip to Camelback Inn and a La Jolla area villa before settling near Wilsall Montana.

Harvey Bliss Dies In Portland at 91

Harvey Bliss longtime Big Timber resident died at his Portland Oregon home on December 20 at age 91. Funeral services were December 23 at the Portland crematorium chapel with Rev. John Richardson officiating. Born December 31 1856 in Stevens Point Wisconsin he helped build the Northern Pacific bridge near Livingston and later ran a hardware store and Cort hotel. He helped establish the first race track near the current fairgrounds and retired about 40 years ago living in Portland with his wife of 50 years Mrs Bliss who survives him. He also leaves a sister Mrs Anna Bliss Smith of Stevens Point.

Farm Outlook 9 Forecasts for 1949 Economic Trends

The forecast projects lower total farm income in 1949 than 1940, with weaker prices for wheat corn pork poultry eggs and dairy.
