Vandalism hits Big Timber Christmas display twice
The Future Farmers spent about 15 dollars to erect a high school Christmas display that was torn down twice. After rebuilding and lighting it the first time the display was demolished again, leaving members disgusted and puzzled by the act. Former Reed Point Resident George B. Harlan Dies in Washington
George B. Harlan, born January 27 1909 in Jacksonville Illinois, died December 14 in Bremerton Washington after ill health. A Navy veteran he lived in Montana before moving to Reed Point then Spokane and Bremerton. Survived by widow Marie Blumer, son George B and daughter Barbara, two grandchildren, sisters Mrs Bud Kerr and Mrs Louie Pullman, plus several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by parents and brothers Leslie Keith Kenneth.

Big Timber Rodeo Set For June 12
The Big Timber Jaycees announce the rodeo contract for next year with Reg Kesler of Rosmary Alberta as producer. The show is set for June 12 and Kesler’s nine bucking horses from the National Finals Rodeo in Oklahoma City performed well, including Three Bars named as the No. 2 bucking horse and slated for national TV coverage in January.

Students Attend Meet in Laurel
A group of five Sweet Grass high school students joined the invitational speech meet in Laurel on Saturday. Sponsored by Billings Central and Laurel high schools, contestants came from Billings West Huntley Project Lodge Grass and Big Timber beside the host schools. Certificates went to the top four in each event. Dick Adams was third in humorous declamation ElVera Cosgriff placed fourth in original oratory. Judy Grasfield Mary Lou Buster and Janet Adams did not receive ratings but gained experience and networking. Mrs Sigurd Lavold accompanied the group.
