Funeral for Fred H. Wilson Bozeman editor dies at 69
Fred H. Wilson 69 longtime editor of the Bozeman Daily Chronicle died this morning. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 30 am at Dokken chapel in Bozeman. He was born in Joliet Illinois and previously worked for the Chicago Examiner and News before joining the Chronicle staff in 1918. His widow Helen N. Wilson survives.

Piano tuner Harry Hunter dies of heart ailment in Livingston
Harry Hunter, about 65, longtime Big Timber piano tuner, died in a Livingston hotel room shortly before midnight Wednesday after a ten day illness. A native of New York City, he moved to Montana around 1898, based in Butte, and had visited Livingston for 35 years. His hearing declined in recent years but he continued working successfully. He learned piano tuning while employed by a major piano manufacturer.

Accidental Gun Discharge Ends Life of Two-Year-Old Fern Ann Barr
Coroner and under sheriff investigated a fatal shooting at the John B. McClurg home in Stockade country. A 13-year-old and an 11-year-old took a rifle from a rack despite orders. The 11-year-old pointed the gun at Fern Ann Barr and fired, killing her instantly. The Barr family took the body to Park City for burial after a funeral in Absarokee.

Bus Train Crash Kills Navajo School Children Near Gallup
At a rail crossing near Gallup New Mexico a school bus carrying Navajo students was hit by a Santa Fe train. Seven children died including a 12 to 14 year old boy tentatively identified as Michaelimo Sacatero. Two other youngsters survived and were expected to recover. Fire destroys sheep shed and pens at Chicago Stock Yards
Wind driven flames swept through a large sheep shed and cattle pens at the Union Stockyards in Chicago. Valued at about 50 thousand dollars, the fire killed approximately 50 animals. Fire Marshal Charles Burke cited uncertainty whether a short circuit or a discarded cigarette started the blaze, and firefighters searched the ruins for Walter Vincent, a 73 year old watchman who might be dead.
