Two Bozeman men Herbert Harrington and Homer Tannehill were identified by four locals as the pair who robbed the Whitehall State Bank of 800 dollars Friday afternoon. The cashier Alex W. Grants for general relief totaled 19,532,540 with special allocations including 911,000 for transient relief 336,200 for rural rehabilitation 242,365 for education 2,231,000 for federal surplus relief activities and 1,749,598 for miscellaneous items. The peak month was December 1934 with 1,498,682 and the smallest January 1934 at 283,914. In March 1935 relief cases reached 31,251 involving 111,389 people while February 1934 saw 17,890 cases for 58,023 people.
