National Finals Rodeo Heads to Oklahoma City in December
The National Finals Rodeo will take place in Oklahoma City from December 6 to 14. Sponsored by the Rodeo Cowboys Association, the event offers 71,250 in prizes with 650 head of stock nominated. Among them are 14 broncs and bulls from Reg Kesler of Rosemary Alberta, producer of the Big Timber rodeo.

Jayceens Set Up Mitten Tree in Big Timber
The Jayceens of Big Timber plant a Mitten Tree at Citizens Bank and Trust to collect warm clothing for Montana Children's Home in Twin Bridges. Lloyd Severance and family gather donated items from mid December, delivering them to the Home before December 15. The tree, provided by the forest service, supports 157 children who skate on the Jefferson River backwater.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth, three children Monte 12 Mark 10 Heather Jane 1 mo, her mother Mrs. John Moline of Williston, three sisters and two brothers.

The South Central Montana Development Federation gathered in Roundup with members from Carbon Stillwater Yellowstone Sweet Grass Musselshell Golden Valley and Wheatland counties. White House Conference workshop draws 36 youths in Montana

Medicare deductibles rise for hospital bills next year

Big Timber Woman's Club staged a medieval Christmas at the Dugout Monday night. Lady of the Castle Mrs. John Adams and Lord of Misrule Mrs. Horatio Burns welcomed guests as halls glowed with candles. Student brass, recorder players, a St. George and the Dragon pageant, and a Nativity choir filled the program alongside period costumes and wassail refreshments.
