Stillwater County officers said a five year old boy pointed to Hugh Downard as the man who killed Mike Kuntz and his wife in Wheat Basin. Frank Robideau, 38, confessed to the slayings after weeks of questioning, with authorities saying the motive was a quarrel over wheat at the Wheat Basin elevator. Downard and his wife were jailed as Robideau was taken into custody and transported to Columbus for questioning.

John Tobin Pioneer Resident Perishes in Home Fire
John Tobin a pioneer resident of this city died in a house fire on Second Avenue East Tuesday evening. Firemen found his blistered body in bed after battling the blaze which likely started from a burning stove.
