Body of Big Timber Resident Found
The skeleton found near Billings is identified as George W. Beem 59 of Big Timber. He likely died about ten months earlier with tuberculosis while at a VA hospital, and was later moved toward Hot Springs South Dakota. A witness reported a possible knockout drug after a Sunday night incident. Beem had lived in the Big Timber area for over a decade, working on several ranches and herding sheep.

Percy G. Webb, 60, tax examiner for the state unemployment compensation commission, died Friday at St. John's hospital in Helena. Born July 8, 1895 in Libertyville, Illinois, he moved to Helena from Big Timber in 1928 and lived at the Martha hotel. Survived by widow Della Webb of Big Timber, daughter Mrs. Sigurd Lavold Jr. of Big Timber, and brothers Mike, Ray of Livingston and Leslie of Eugene, Oregon. Funeral services were held Monday at Retz chapel with Rev. H. M. Waldron presiding. interment Forestvale cemetery.

Dick Curtis Captures Calf Roping Title At Local Meet
Dick Curtis won the calf roping contest held Sunday with Jake Frank of Park City second and Sonny Bohleen of Livingston third. In team roping, Lyle Woosley and Bill D’Ewart of Willsall topped the two steer event, with Carl Holt and Bob Hubbert of Ennis second and Dick Curtis with Spike Van Cleve third. Jake Frank posted the fastest calf roping time at 15.8 seconds. Curtis and Van Cleve also posted a 17 second steer roping time. Earl Pressley of Livingston judged, with Ken Simmonson as barrier judge and Orville Wulff handling announcements.

Head on Collision Claims Bozeman Man
Eugene G. DeCosse 23 of Bozeman was killed in a head on crash on highway 191 about 12 miles southwest of Bozeman near midnight. Glenn Lemon and James Jeter of Bozeman were seriously injured. Lemon rode in DeCosse's car. DeCosse a 1955 Montana State College graduate planned to report for air force pilot training in September. He is survived by his wife and infant daughter, his parents and three brothers.

Anton Krone Dies Of Heart Attack At 59
Anton Krone prominent Bridger Creek rancher died suddenly of a heart attack at breakfast Monday. Funeral services were held at the Big Timber Lutheran church with military rites by American Legion Sweet Grass Post 19. Burial was in Mountain View. He was born in Norway in 1895 and came to the United States at 18. Survivors include his widow Aasne Tweiten, daughter Agnes Dodge, son Ivan Krone, a brother and sister in Norway, a granddaughter Cheryl Diane Dodge, and a nephew in Billings.
