Julius C Herrick 60 died Friday of a heart attack. Funeral held at Reed Point Evangelical church with burial in Reed Point cemetery. He lived in the Big Timber Reed Point area since 1913 after wartime service in WWI including Verdun. Survived by brothers Wilmer and Morris and sister Margaret Vincent.

Montana conference ministers of the Evangelical United Brethren church met at the Earl Wright ranch on the Boulder Tuesday to select a camp site. Grand Champion Pete Hallinan Wins Drive In Name Contest
Pete Hallinan of the Ranch House rest home won the drive in theatre name contest with The Van written on a covered wagon. The entry is displayed at the theatre snack bar. Entertains Mrs. H A Anderson hosted the Firemen's Wives bridge club with invited guests including Mrs. Henry Klind¢ Mrs. Thomas Mahan and Mrs Ross Snyder. The Ambassadors Quartette presented by Pacific Lutheran College will give a sacred concert at the Lutheran church in Melville tomorrow at 8 p.m. Admission is by free will offering. Art Surgeon and Dudley Hilton of Yakima were treated at Community hospital after a truck crash near Grey Cliff. Hilton suffered a broken collar bone and Surgeon facial lacerations. The grand champion ram fleece from the Northern Montana Fair was exhibited by Arvid Larson of Big Timber. The same solicitor who previously claimed something about the Montana wool laboratory at Montana State College was involved. Arvid's fleece entries may enter national shows in Denver and Ogden.

Cars Demolished In Big Timber Freight Derailment
A three unit diesel locomotive and 45 cars of a northbound Northern Pacific freight train derailed about 10 45 Sunday night seven miles west of Big Timber. Only engineer Emil Caruso of Livingston was injured with a cheek cut and contusions. Fireman Perry Blankenship and brakeman Lynn Williamson of Livingston were shaken but unharmed.
