Northern Pacific Telegraphers Strike Fails to Halt Traffic
General Manager H J Horn states a lockout and strike by Northern Pacific telegraphers did not disrupt service. Perishable freight moved, all passenger trains ran, and trains faced only minor delays. Within ten days action expects return to normal as 40 men per day fill vacancies.

Telegraphers Seek Higher Wages as Strike Persists
Telegraphers employed in 1900 and still in service in 1905 earn 110000 more annually than in 1900, with a total rise of 150000, and now demand 314000 more per year.
