Bozeman on Monday morning an 83 year old man James Crane died from smoke suffocation during a fire in the second floor apartment of his parents. Firemen carried the child from the blaze but he was believed dead on arrival. The fire began in the kitchen of the frame building.

Two Drown At Boulder Springs In Montana
Dudley J. Paddock and Mrs. Oma Segraves of Bozeman died in a small plunge at Boulder hot springs resort Tuesday night. Deputy Coroner L E McCauley said the cause of death was not yet determined. Townsend Jail Sentence Upheld in Supreme Court Review
Dr Francis E Townsend author of the Townsend plan to pay 200 a month to the aged failed in the supreme court Monday in his effort to escape a 30 day jail sentence for contempt of a house committee. The tribunal refused to review the DC circuit decision upholding the jail term and a 100 fine. Townsend 71 spoke May 21 1936 claiming legislators were unfriendly and unfair and saying he would return only under arrest.
