Easter Egg Hunt Winners Named by Lions Club
Lions Club sponsored Easter Egg Hunt announced winners across three age groups. Officials say three firemen with backpack units are insufficient. a county fire truck could patrol the area if the railroad funds the crew. Seven fires burn in Sweet Grass County after noon Friday
A sequence of seven fires swept Sweet Grass County last Friday after noon possibly from a passing train in the railroad right of way west of Big Timber. Fires spread from Grey Bear access road up toward Springdale and across town into Park County with Park County Fire Dept units aiding. Fire Chief Dennis Beer said flames rose above surrounding cottonwoods as volunteers fought the blazes for five and a half hours, then four more hours the next day. firefighter Terry Ryles suffered a broken wrist.
