Progressive Citi zens Victorious in Big Timber Election

The Progressive Citizens ticket won a sweeping municipal victory in Big Timber with liberal majorities across mayoral and alderman races. Mayor Asbury leads Ward 1, Franklin trails. Aldermen Witten Bruner and Clark Liebel win their seats, while E L Patterson secures Ward 1 votes. The Cob band serenade followed.

Our Temple reports the death of Sister Lucy A. Micrielees on March 23 1909, marking an irreparable loss and the first time a faithful officer chair has become vacant in its history. The departed Sister was faithful to her duty in the temple service.

Minta McCall and James Bonner Invitees Set For Big Timber Wedding

Invitations issued by Mr and Mrs T C McCall announce the wedding of Minta Lee McCall and James Henry Bonner. The couple met during University of Montana studies with Bonner a 1907 graduate and McCall set to graduate next spring. The ceremony will occur at the McCall home in Big Timber on April 19 with both families noting strong local ties.

Obituary Sketch for A S Lowry Loyal Lutheran Leader

The Chapman Kansas community notes the death of A S Lowry a respected citizen, public servant, and longtime church officer. Described as intelligent reader and steadfast Christian he served as Dickinson county high school director and county commissioner and taught Sabbath school. Public School Notes on Enrollment and Spring Projects

The report notes 34 students enrolled for the month with 5244 days of absence and 9 tardies. Students started a window garden and egg shell farm with each child planting seed in an eggshell and preparing to begin a miniature ranch while eagerly watching for signs of spring.

Autobiography of an Old Pipe and Poor April Attendance

Room II reports April attendance the poorest yet with seventy six and a half days absent and thirteen tardies. Card day, visitors, and a note urging excuses are recorded. A student list shows several names with 36 enrolled. fourth graders study fractions while geography covers distant lands.
