Sage grouse hunters in western Wyoming reported a strong season per Wyoming Game and Fish Department figures from red clerk reports. Hunters averaged 22 birds per day with Jackson Big Piney and Pinedale regions at 2.8 per day and Dokeville at one per day. Juveniles accounted for 77 percent of birds checked while adults were 23 percent.
