Green needlegrass is a native Wyoming perennial bunch grass valued as a heavy forage producer. It grows early, with seed stalks 2 to 4 feet tall, and tolerates drought well. Found from 3400 to 7000 feet, it boosts soil stability and reseeding in abandoned croplands.
About 12 000 widows of veterans could qualify for VA benefits under Public Law 5 209 which liberalizes the widow definition. A widow is eligible if a child was born or if five years of marriage occurred even if the marriage date after the veteran’s death.
