Big Gas Strike On Dry Piney
Last Friday while drilling on the Cretaceous holdings on Section 12 Dry Piney a heavy flow of oil and gas was encountered at a shallow depth. Drillers report they are 33 feet into the oil sand and expect major progress as drilling continues through the sands. Experts estimate the oil contains a high gasoline content and the gas appears as dense steam rising several feet. Samples were brought to town by C P Budd and can be viewed at Pioneer Drug Store with another sample expected soon.
