Big Piney High School Set to Open September 16
The fall term at Big Piney High School will commence Monday morning September 16 with new staff including Principal Miss Selma Leopold and teachers Miss Ruth Crelly Miss Jessie Thomas. The building has been overhauled and repainted and the board urges all children over six to attend. The board members are James Mickelson president Al Osterhout secretary treasurer and J B Budd clerk.

Hugh Wardell Dies At Sea In Military Duty
Mr and Mrs John Wardell receive a government telegram announcing son Hugh Wardell died at sea while on transport duty and was buried in New Port News Virginia on August 28. He was drafted March 28 and sent from Camp Lewis to Fort Leavenworth Kansas. The bereaved parents, who have another son James Wardell, receive community sympathy in their hour of trial.

More Sugar for Canning Expands Federal Allowance
An additional twenty five pounds of sugar for canning or preserving is now available in Wyoming. Theodore Diers, Federal Food Administrator for Wyoming, says consumers may secure the extra supply by signing applications held by grocers. Families under four receive twenty five more pounds. five or more get fifty pounds. merchants may deliver only twenty five pounds per allotment.
