The Big Piney schools opened for the 1925-26 term with large enrollment and organized classes. Departments are led by competent instructors and building upkeep includes new bookcases and a sectional heating plant now functioning. Cooperation for better schools is urged.
Mr and Mrs C G Jewett of Hillmont take son Donald and Jesse Budd to Laramie for term entry at the State University. Both are 1925 Big Piney High School graduates. Jewett sedan provides the transport. Dr F J Alexander of Alexander Optical Co. schedules eye care visits at Daniel Hotel on Sept 24 and Piney Hotel on Sept 25.
Elk season opened on Tuesday September 16 inviting many local hunters to the elk haunts of nearby localities. Outside hunters are also using the early opening to reach hunting grounds by car and track seeking a buck.
Sealed bids are due by Octist for transporting school children to and from the Muleshoe and Clifton Fear ranches during the 1955-56 term. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Sublette County Board of Commissioners met in Pinedale at 10:00 A M on September 8, 1925 with Commissioners Olson and Larson present and Bail absent. They audited general bills, approved salaries, and ordered road and fence wire purchases for state highways.

William Hathbarth travels to Kemmerer for a two week stay. Mrs. R. & Elder records a Kemmerer business visit during the week.
News reached here this morning that Mrs. Frank McGinnis died last night at the S C M hospital in Kemmerer after a major operation. She is survived by her husband who is grief stricken. The McGinnis home is on La Barge where the husband owns and operates a cattle ranch. Funeral details are unavailable at this hour. Community sympathy goes to the bereaved husband.
A Cheyenne letter from the Pure Food Commissioner dated September 12 1925 reports no evidence of blood in Clifton Fear of Big Piney Wyoming buttermilk sample No 2770 analyzed after August 25 1925. The Dairy Food and Oil Division notes the examiner rate and urges subscription.
