Judge Dodge and Salt Lake City partners Meeks and Leonard traveled the upper country, noting slow travel due to rain but general prosperity. They inspected H C Dunham’s five crop of onts, heavy hay crops, and visited Vandervort home where Mr. Vandervort remains injured. Local optimism grows as more land is shared and new buildings rise, including Daniels new store near Pinedale managed by Archie Jones. Progress on Daniel Lane improves access, while Leonard and Meeks pursue steel tie line business and journeyed to Pinedale by stage.
