O'Neil and Beck Return From Cheyenne Good Roads Meeting
T D O'Neil and Oscar Beck returned from Cheyenne where Governor Carey convened a Good Roads meeting. The gathering formed a state highway association and outlined county mappings to be reviewed by the state commission. Lincoln county was named the site for a future inland gathering with Andrew Morrow as chairman. Delegates from Kemmerer and Big Piney attended. W H Pape and family relocate to Corvallis Oregon for winter.

Opal is a major shipping hub with thousands of livestock moved yearly. In a two day period 90 years of cattle from the valley totaled 2 480 head and shipments to Denver and Omaha dominated the routes. From Sept 1 1918 to 1919 621 cars of livestock were shipped from here with 22 885 241 pounds of freight brought north to Green River valley and over 80 000 000 pounds hauled annually from the railroad to Green River valley towns.
