Elk Hunting Slow in Most Areas
Wyoming Game and Fish reports slow elk hunting across most areas since early October due to warm, dry weather. Cold snaps and snowstorms are expected to improve conditions in mountainous timbered terrain where elk move and migration from Yellowstone to the Federal Elk Refuge in Teton County is anticipated within the next month. Grand Teton permits may see higher success when the main migration occurs as the season runs October 1 through November 30.
