On May 13 the Graduating Class of 1917 heard Rev Father Reader deliver the Baccalaureate on Life at the Episcopal church. The service included chorus numbers and remarks by Supt. Mr and Mrs Jas Mickelson entertained the school board and faculty at the Piney Hotel last Sunday afternoon. Guests included Mrs Jas Jensen, Mr and Mrs J B Budd, Mrs Osterhouse, Mr and Mrs Oscar Beck, Mr and Mrs Frank Fear, Mr and Mrs L E Bennett, Miss Josephine Osterhout, Miss Hallett, Miss Nordstrom, Rev C Reader, Miss Stanley and Mr H H Moyer. Limited capacity constrained guests but tables were bountiful and well enjoyed. The Eighth Grade graduation exercises were held in The Examiner for the NEWS.

Call for business men to aid Wyoming farming capital

The Green River Valley Good Road Club will hold a special Sunday afternoon meeting at 2 oclock chaired by secretary J Charles Rumsch. Agenda covers securing state and county funds for permanent road improvements, bridge repairs, and plans to raise private money. Contractor Atwood reports bridge work and creek bridge replacement after ice breakup. An $8000 federal road-building grant from Kemmerer to Big Piney will be matched locally. surveying funds excluded. Junior Guild Meets at Mrs Jenson Home
The Junior Guild met at Mrs Jenson's home last Saturday to continue church work. After a delicious lunch, the girls planned to meet again on May 23 at the home of Martha and May Whitman.

W F Parish of Pinedale visited Piney on Thursday for a line inspection. O A Dallaire rode in a Big Piney Mercantile truck to Kemmerer on Monday with Grover Trittipo as the chauffeur.
