Mrs. Inez Bennett reports her grandson Steve Manning injured an eye on a Boy Scout outing when splinters struck him during chopping wood. In a rugged area near Tucson the boy was carried out by stretcher after hours in rough terrain before reaching hospital with a hopeful eye check after splinters were removed.
