Junior Farmers Need Club Leaders To Expand Training
Benjamin V. Darrow reports on a Sears-Reebneck Foundation study of club work by 459 074 farm youth in 1923. Girls outnumber boys two to one in project completion with 56 percent of girls finishing, 42.9 percent of boys. The crisis era shows many youths left farming, but 80 percent remain rural. Darrow urges rapid increase in country club leaders to sustain junior farmers nationwide.
