Oat project work guides Big Piney students toward track events
The Big Piney High School agriculture class finished oat project study covering soil care irrigation harvesting storing and marketing with plans to study alfalfa. Track practice continues as Mr Beatty aims to form a county track team and urges schools to prepare for Track Day with a long list of events across grade levels. Chas Budd of Marbleton moved cattle from Cottonwood ranch to Stanley last Saturday.

Forest Officials Visit Tie Camp Report Promising Watershed
Assistant Forest Supervisor A G Nord and Forest Ranger Id J Albano inspected the Tie Camp. They note watershed conditions under normal but improved from last year with well packed snow and high water content. Snow depth four to four and a half feet in timbered regions. Ties hauled to landings with 75 choppers active. If weather stays favorable, this season's drive may reach about 300000 ties.

Beatty Infant Dead At Eleven Days Old
The eleven days old daughter of Mr and Mrs George W Beatty died this morning March 26 and will be laid to rest today. The baby was the couple's first born and the community extends sympathy to the bereaved parents. Jud Witherspoon of the Up To Date Auto Co of Kemmerer visited local friends after a Kemmerer business trip.
