Dry weather and scarce feed pushed cattle receipts to about 9,000 head, far above a week and a year earlier. Prices varied by class with calves and steers showing uneven demand, heifers steady to higher, and cows and sows easing. Lambs and sheep saw little change as demand remained narrow for heavy old crop lambs.
