Big Piney Town Council Hears 1965 Budget Moves
The June 1 1965 meeting saw both old and new administrations seated. Budget transfers redeployed 60 percent of Water and Sewer funds to redeem bonds, and ordinances numbers 78 and 79 were clarified for gas and sales taxes. The mayor and council members were sworn in, bar owners sought Sunday openings, and rodeo use of town offices and fire trucks was approved with chief’s oversight.
