Woodmen Memorial Services Set for Sunday
Big Piney Camp 851 Woodmen of the World holds annual memorials on Sunday. Members meet at the hall at 10 a.m. then proceed to the cemetery at 1 p.m. to honor Charlie Walker and place flowers on all Woodmen family graves.

Oil Rig Set to Begin Work at Opal Field
Chas Lackey departed for Opal on Monday after word that the Keystone drilling machine bought at Casper has arrived and is ready to be loaded. The rig is expected to be in operation within a week, and its arrival at the oil site sparks excitement.

W. O. W. Band Gives Public Airs At Marbleton
The W. O. W. brass band performed on Marbleton streets last Sunday with several airs and a small Piney front-porch concert. Big Piney residents praised the performance as the band trains Wednesdays and Sundays. Members have funded instruments and instruction and seek uniforms and a grand stand with merchant support.

Notice to Bid on Big Piney Sidewalk Construction
The town of Big Piney invites bids by the town clerk for sidewalks on Budd Avenue from Front Street to Dodge Street. Bids due by 7 p.m. July 1, 1916, must include a $25 bond or certified check. Sidewalks to be at least 6 feet wide, cement or two inch plank with 2x6 stringers. The town council may reject any bid. Grover Trittipo, Town Clerk.
