A national call offers six six hundred eighty nine dollar scholarships for 4-H Club girls majoring in home economics who are juniors. Each state selects one applicant, then the National 4-H Service Committee in Chicago administers the six awards funded by donors including Sunbeam Corp and Whitpool Foundation. GF Employees Attend Skin Diving School
Eight Game and Fish Department personnel attended a four day skin diving procedures school at Franas E Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne May 23 to 29. Fred R Boal said the course, taught by G F Van Gleave of Westminster Colorado, covered fish behavior under natural conditions, spawning period studies, population checks, and coarse fish control. The program aims to aid rational work in investigations and rescue and recovery duties when needed in the Cheyenne area.
