The American National Live Stock association market committee adopts resolutions pledging organizational support in prosecuting the war and offering help to increase food supplies. It argues that fixing minimum prices would boost production but warns some citizens cannot endure losses under abnormal conditions.

The Pinedale community held a farewell dance and reception last Tuesday for the machine gun corps. Visitors from Big Piney Marbleton Daniel Cora Boulder and other nearby towns attended. A free dance and supper were offered. Rev Reese spoke on the war's causes and blessings for the volunteers. Local and visiting residents enjoyed music by L E Bennett Chas Patterson and Bailey's orchestra, with the dance lasting until daybreak.
On Friday August 3 the largest dance of the year will be held in Buddhall Big Piney under the ladies aid for the soldiers. A letter requested funds to aid the boys with comforts of life and tickets priced at 1.50 and up will be sold across the Valley to support the mess fund regardless of attendance.
Red Cross chapter members elect Rev Fawkes as chairman and Mrs Mac Glashan as secretary after a Sunday meeting to fill vacancies. The group plans to produce bandages and supplies for the U S army as soon as funding and materials arrive.
