Wyoming in Washington and federal road projects
Wyoming leaders led by Z E Levison and Congressman Carter pushed federal road and forest service funding. The appropriation bills propose seven and a half million for forest roads trails and fire control plus four and a half million for local and federal connecting roads, with a Gallon bill seeking twelve and a half million. Post Office funding would provide three new Wyoming buildings under regular funds and possibly two more under an added 115 million, if postal receipts exceed twenty thousand. Carter aims to remove the twenty thousand hurdle so Wyoming gets extra buildings, possibly Kemmerer and Wheatland. ex-service men compensation limits may also extend this session. Sugar tariff debate favored Wyoming beet and sugar makers but Senate shifts reverted to existing rates.
