The second children's dance, a Valentine event, was held Saturday afternoon February 12 at the Valley theatre. About 90 children enjoyed music by Link Shidler on violin and piano by the ladies, dancing from two to five thirty. Fruit punch and wafers followed, and some say it was an afternoon of pleasure for both children and adults.
Assistant State Game Warden Chas. P. Sorensen stopped in Big Piney en route to Pinedale to assess reports of elk snowed in on the rim of New York lake. He plans to arrange for bringing out and caring for the elk for the rest of winter. The Bridger National Forest is a designated game preserve and elk drift into protected areas during hunting season, creating annual snow entrapment needs.
A Victorian era review lists acts including Opening Chorus and Old Time Songs, solo numbers, a tramp monologue and street corner flirtation. The program features a Yiddish monologue and a racial themed pair comedy with stepping artist.

Deputy Sheriff William E. Mills returned from Spur ranch where he investigated reports of neglect and starvation. He found four deaths in a herd of 800 and no negligence, noting six loads of hay daily and oil cake shipments for winter. others echoed the assessment that stock are in good condition.
The annual meeting of Big Piney Printing & Publishing Company will be held Friday February 25 at 3 p m in the Examiner office to elect officers for the ensuing year and to handle other business. T D ONeil president.

The superintendent reversal after telephone interviews, plus Mrs. Smith and Mr. Osterhout confirming the certificate, leaves locals convinced of the certificate’s existence and Goodwin’s potential return.
