Rev S H Wood of St James Kemmerer and St John’s Big Piney will visit Big Piney March 7 and 8. He will conduct services at 4 pm and 7 30 pm each day and a Communion service at 11 am. Weddings and baptisms can be arranged outside those hours during Ash Wednesday Lent start.
McCammon Idaho news reports Dr G H Cooper has sold Mary Richards hospital to Dr W F McDill of Big Piney Wyoming. McDill, with eleven years of practice and Iowa City Medical College graduate, arrives with his family to assume charge here.
Regular meeting of the Big Piney Wyoming town council lists bills approved for payment including Big Piney Merc. Co. desk lumber hodwey 72.08 Kemmerer Hardware and Furnishing Co rivets 6.20 clerk salary January 10.00 and Snow plowing 5.00. Meeting adjourned at 9.56 with G Trittipo town clerk presiding.
Washington officials impose 200 dollar penalty for removing mail from a box or office and not returning it promptly, newspaper included. Jas Mickelson promotes Safety First as 1300 cattle move from Big Piney to Opal after a recent storm. A hay carload and two carloads of cottonseed cake are ordered for the lower Robinson field. Cattle began moving Sunday under Jas Jensen with help from Ira and William Baldwin. Daily feeding costs are estimated around $100.
The annual meeting of the Big Piney Printing & Publishing Company is set for Friday February 25 at 3 p m in the Examiner office. The agenda includes electing officers for the ensuing year and any other business that may arise. T D O NEIL president.
Notice announces that all cattle, horse and sheep grazing permit applications for Barpark Nations Komen must be filed in Linedale Wyoming by March 15, 1916. Full details on grazing fees and blank forms are available on request from Lee E. Coren, Supervisor.
The Gray's River Cattle & Horse Roundup Association gains official recognition from the Forest Service. It includes nearly all local stockmen in the Gray's River Division of the Wyoming National Forest and will work with officials on grazing limits, range division, and local rules. Officers are C. P. Burton president Afton Geo. D. Keyser vice president Blowout Jos. E. Linford secretary Afton. An advisory board of J. W. Titensor and Chas. L. Roberts accompanies the association.
Abner Luman arrived in Piney Tuesday evening on the way to the ranch while Mr and Mrs Luman just returned from an extensive trip through the east. They visited relatives in Omaha Chicago New York Philadelphia and Pel N C returning via St Louis and Omaha where Mrs Luman stayed to visit a daughter before plans to spend the winter in Salt Lake City.
T. D. O Neil receives 12 000 pounds of seed barley from Smoot Wyoming in what is believed to be the largest parcel post shipment. The barley will sow 250 acres on Cott onwood farm. Transport involved wagon railroad and local freighting to Piney.
