United States Ends Relations with Germany

The German ambassador and attaches were given passports and American diplomats were recalled as the United States severed relations. President tells Congress the honor of America demands decisive action and that Germany will not give the United States cause for further action.

Garage Expansion At Big Piney Garage Under Way

Work started this week on a 35 by 50 foot rear addition to the Big Piney Garage building directed by E G Crail. The modern, fire proof addition will include a cement floor steam heat and the latest improvements for the machine shop plus space to store cars and a new showroom for Bess and Yose.

Pioneer Drug Store Sold to Dr Hook in Piney

Dr. Hook buys the Pioneer Drug Store and medical practice from Dr. E L Hallinan in Piney after relocating for the National Order of Cowboy Rangers. Hook is a Rush Medical Institute graduate with Denver hospital experience. Hallinan departs to Florida, while the town invites all to a Patriotic service at the Episcopal church February 11 at eleven.
