Jas P Jensen bought the stage line and mail contract from J A Holliday for the Big Piney Garage. The route covers Opal to Pinedale and mail now arrives daily about four PM. Parcel post will be more regular and residents of Green River Valley rejoice.
This week Crude oil from Lincoln Idaho No 1 well at Dry Piney is pumped by Big Piney Oil Refining Co under Thos Clinton permission and sent to Croder ranch holdings to fuel drilling there. The oil reportedly has the highest gravity test and can power gas machinery. Emporium advertises toys while Christian Wrang made a Kemmerer trip with teachers.
Last Saturday about nine oclock fire gutted the Louis Vickery residence west of the Big Piney Mer. Co. store. The new fire chemical engine prevented spread to outbuildings while the cause is believed to be a stove pipe in the ceiling. The occupants were away at a river dance and had arranged for a child to start a morning fire. The home is left homeless in cold weather.
Notice states a special meeting of stockholders to be held January 19 1920 at 9 a m in Kansas City Missouri. It seeks approval to reduce outstanding capital stock from 10000 shares of 100 each to 100 shares of 100 each and to transact other business as needed. President J E Maxwell signs the notice.
The Annual Meeting of stockholders of the Cretaceous Oil Company will be held at the store of Charles P. Budd in Marbleton Wyoming on January 10, 1920 at 9 a.m. Chas Budd president and Grace MacGlashan secretary signatories.
Atwood and O'Brien completed substantial shelving improvements at the Emporium this week. The work by the local contractors modernizes display space and storage areas.
Notice of incorporation in Cheyenne Wyoming dated November 25 1919 for North Piney Reservoir Company with $1000000 capital in 100 shares of 100 each. Directors listed Honey Beck D B Rathbun John Budd Al Osterhout all of Big Piney. Principal office in Town Holding Wyoming and business to operate in Wyoming or elsewhere.
The December 5 meeting at the school drew many members as committees reported busy work. A post holiday play was planned by the program committee and a first patio debate on Roosevelts vs Wilsons impact amused and educated attendees. Local member Miss Jessie Thomas shared state teachers’ insights and calls were made to boost Big Piney school facilities. A lunch fundraiser supported the library, with the next gathering set for January 9, 1920 at 2:30 PM.
Mrs F D Chapel and Mrs James Jensen led a two person committee to raise nearly $60 for a community Christmas fund to buy caney and nuts for all children. Distribution will follow the school entertainment Friday evening. Surplus may go to the Parents Teachers Association for books. A thermos bottle taken from Field's school buggy is to be returned.
Department of the Interior at Evanston announces a public sale of an isolated tract under Sec 2456. The NWY of Section 21 and NWYNEN of Section 43, Township 32 North Range 108 West, Sixth Principal Meridian, will be offered to the highest bidder at 10 oclock A M on the sale day with a minimum price of 3 per acre.
P. W. Jenkins reports a grass fed steer weighing 1,970 pounds, bred by A. W Smith Live stock Co. and sold by Clay Robinson Co. to Armour Co. for 17.60 per hundred, yielding 346.72 for its owner. The steer had won the silver pitcher at last June's rodeo, a prize donated by the buyers.

Department of the Interior announces a public land sale by the U S Land Office at Evanston Wyoming. Under Sec 2455 R S the tract in Northwest of the Northwest quarter Section 13 Township 35 North Range 112 West Sixth Principal Meridian will be sold January 10 1920 at 10 00 AM to the highest bidder not less than 1 26 per acre. Adverse claimants must file by November 27 January 1.
