Former Evanston Resident Mrs. Fleming Dies in Green River
Josephine Osborne Fleming 38, born Evanston Sept 22 1878, died last Friday in Green River after brief illness from pneumonia. She taught in public schools, married Wm. Fleming Oct 8 1900, moved from Big Piney to Green River seven years ago. Survived by three daughters 15 18 and 9, her mother Mrs. John Parkinson and siblings Harry Joshua Richard John George Parkinson Mrs E H Long and Mrs Bessie Rowsell. Funeral services held at Episcopal church with Rev G Kagey officiating. Interment City Cemetery. Evanston Times.

Wm Sutton of Daniel known as Uncle Billy visits Big Piney to discuss selling his Green River Valley ranch interests to G F Whitman of Big Piney and D Baum of Omaha. The plan includes 680 acres deeded land, a school land section, and about 1000 head of cattle. the Sutton ranch lies on Green River and has been leased to Martin Brennan.

Marbleton masque parade yields costumes and prizes
One of the successful masque rades was held at Marbleton last Thursday evening. Several unique costumes were displayed and prizes were awarded. Paul Fields and Miss Pearl Budd were the winners. The dance lasted until 4 a.m. Mother Williams returned from Missouri and is back at work for Dan Budd.

Piney Boys Organize Winter Club After Meeting
A local effort to entertain youth this winter organized a Piney Boys club. At Mrs. James Mickleson’s home nineteen boys attended last week’s meeting after Rev. C Reader proposed the plan. Mrs. Budd hosted the next gathering with Mrs J P Jensen and H H Moyer assisting, and other hostesses will alternate weekly for future events. Plans also begin for younger girls’ holiday activities.

Noble and sons visit Piney cattle shipment to Cora
Jas Noble and sons stopped in Piney Tuesday night en route to Cora with 30 head of registered bulls bought at Newton Iowa. Eleven Herefords go to Binning brothers at Cora, while Noble kept 19 Aberdeen Angus for himself. He reports strong prices at So Omaha with six carloads yielding $8.25 and up for most animals.

Prisoners Sentenced in Fremont County to Rawlins
Sheriff Gaylord took Green Hunt Colin M Speir and guard G C White to the Rawlins penitentiary. Hunt faces 5 to 8 years Speir 20 to 21 years. Hunt was convicted by a short jur y deliberation and is the only accessory to felony known among Fremont county officials.
