In service training for teachers is set for September 2 3 and 4 new pupil registration will occur September 4 from 1 30 to 3 30 pm only new students register regular classes begin Tuesday September 8 dismissal noon no lunch staff on duty all day elementary begin 3 55 am dismiss 3 30 pm junior high begin 8 50 am dismissal 3 45 pm high school begin 8 45 am dismiss 3 49 pm teaching staff listed for 1964 65.
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department reported 83 people fined in July for violations of state game and fish laws. Total fines reached 1779.50 dollars, down from 1792 the prior month. Money supports local county schools. Two Rock Springs men paid fines.
Mr and Mrs Rodney Bennett and Elyse Bennett attended the wedding of Loretta Campbell Payne and William Payne in Salt Lake Temple. Loretta is daughter of Rulon Campbell of Afton and William Payne is son of Harvey Payne of Fairfield.
The State Highway Commission of Wyoming declares completion of the Highway Project SCP No 5058 with Hasse Cathodic Ltd as contractor. The superintendent will pay the full amount due on September 23, 1964, based on the final settlement for fencing guards and related work on Piney-Damel Road two miles north of in Taney in Sublette County. Public notice date August 13, 1964.
The 1964 Wyoming State Fair aims for record crowds with three rodeo shows on August 28 and 29. Director Jon Roush says total prize money will near $7,000 with $1,000 for bronc riding and $750 for each remaining event.
Public notice outlines 1961 Wyoming general election amendments. Proposals would alter taxation on Indian lands, shift jurisdiction over local courts from the constitution to legislative creation, and raise city tax levy limits from 8 to 12 mills. Publication date August 13.
