Cheyenne August 2 The State Highway Commission approved contracts totaling 150 000 for various statewide road projects with completion expected in thirty days A petition by P W Jenkins of Cora urged establishing a state road from Rock Springs through Eden New York Pinedale and Cora to connect with a forestry department route via Hoback Canyon to Jackson Hole Jenkins and others argued the road would boost local traffic and serve Yellowstone Park tourists The commission noted material and labor cost increases since two years ago and reported Denver Colorado and Montana could not secure bids for similar work

A new maple floor was laid by A B Stout and sons in the Chapel building for a billiard parlor. A stork brought a daughter to Mr and Mrs L Bess. all well. Frank Burney and Irwin Covke left for Eastern Oklahoma to meet relatives. George McClain shows at Budd hall and Daniel and the tie camp. A E Zemp and two sons with Chick Hartsel of Evanston visited Piney then went to Conttonwood for fishing.
