Wyoming Visitors Highlight Capitol Trip For Afton Residents
Miss Margine Larsen of Afton Wyoming and Mrs Dixon Burton joined a Wyoming delegation in Washington last week. Larsen, state Homemaker of Tomorrow, competed in a national contest with 706 entrants from Wyoming and about 87,000 students nationwide. Each state winner earned a 1500 scholarship and an educational tour of Washington Williamsburg and Philadelphia. Larsen was noted for high ratings by judges and is an accomplished pianist active in sports and academics. Burton has long served as home economics teacher in Afton, with their daughters having previous state wins. Several Wyoming visitors called on Sen. Barrett during the trip and other locals toured the capital, including Mrs Ivy Baker Priest and various residents from Star Valley and Casper.

Stockmen May Pay Less for Grain Feed and Cake
LARAMIE Wyoming extension economist A W Willis says feed grain meal and cake prices may drop next fall. Signs include March planting intentions showing more feed grain acreage and storage holdings above last year. Corn acreage rises slightly despite a 10 percent cut request and Nebraska farmers plan a about 2 percent more corn. Willis projects a 31 billion bushel corn crop vs last year.
