Ranch Home Destroyed By Fire
Last Friday evening around 6 30 a fire destroyed the ranch home of Mr and Mrs C Jewett near Cottonwood. Firemen arrived within twenty minutes but the blaze had made headway, aided by a defective electric light plant. Only a few items were saved from the house including two small safes, silverware, jewelry, and a few pieces of furniture. The home was a log structure and burned rapidly. Neighbors offered the former home of Mr and Mrs T P D ONeil for temporary occupancy. The Jewett family received community sympathy.
