Senior Friday Matinee Presents All American Family

The Senior Friday matinee on April 26 at the community Hall drew many grade school and some high school students. The play All American Family directed by Mr McNutt delighted audiences on April 27 and raised a nice sum. Glee Club girls sang between acts and again after the show. The postplay dance was well attended and enjoyed by all.

The Sublette County Home Extension Council met at the American Legion hall in Big Piney with President Mrs. Ted Weideranders opening the session. Discussion covered revising bylaws, observing May 5 to 12 as Home Demonstration week, Mae Baird speaking on its meaning, planning a county achievement exhibit for 4-H, demonstrations for the year, fall program formation, and attendance at the State Homemakers and 4-H leaders convention in Laramie June 9 to 12. Tentative delegates named. fall meeting urged for all members.

A Sublette County 4-H Council meeting led by President Mrs Kennel Fear and adviser guests set tentative summer plans. Events include a county get Legebber and picnic, a summer camp in mid Wyoming, a judging and demonstration contest, and a county fair on September 28 with Achievement Day on October 14. Miss Baird explained Rural Life Sunday designated by President Truman.

Bandit Attack Victim SGT Elba McNinch Recovering

Word from the field says SGT Elba McNinch was attacked by two bandits who assaulted him and took his wallet containing 120 dollars. He is reported recovering steadily. McNinch is a son of Mr and Mrs W Melinch of Bix Piney and serves in the Philippines.
