The service plan includes Doxology Invocation solos by Ione Palmer Ursula Tanner and others plus duets and a baptism ceremony. A Sunday School program at 10 oclock showcases songs and recitations by all classes with parents urged to attend and to bring potted plants for decor.
The Congregational Church invites Sunday School each Sunday at 10 a.m. and services every other Sunday at 11 a.m. Choir practice is Tuesday evening from 8 to 9 p.m. led by Pastor Rev. D. D. Reese.
Eastern papers praise Chicago and Northwestern bid for the Western Pacific from Salt Lake to the Pacific Coast now under receivers. If Northwestern wins, its Casper line would extend through South Pass to Salt Lake creating a thru route with an 800 mile gap at Lander Salt Lake. Local officials are noncommittal but view the plan as plausible and a possible boost to agricultural and livestock tonnage.

Supervisor Beam of the Wyoming National Forest brokered a settlement between the Big Piney Roundup and Horse Creek Cattle and Horse Growers associations. northern cattle will stay between the two Beavers under their control with Piney cattle added, roundups will run separately, Piney association gains forest service recognition, and both groups pledge to work for mutual interests.
In Piney a man named Bailey shot Tom Clementsen during an arrest attempt at the Green Hunt cabin. Clementsen, with Charles Alexander, pursued Bailey thought to be escaped prisoner Whitted from Buffalo. Bailey and Hunt fled. Clementsen's shoulder was broken, doctors hope to save his arm.
George Bentley reported that twelve head of Mickelson's calves were stolen from the Halfway area. Jas P Jensen and Rich McMinna led search efforts. Frank Dryer was arrested Tuesday on theft charges with an appearance bond and Saturday hearing. County Attorney Reynolds prosecutes, Attorney Rose defends.

Gladys fields returned to school this week. A basketball game Monday night ended nine to eight in favor of the Reds. Also notes from B P H S mention Latin II exam, history essays and debates, and science experiments. A social at Congregational Church is planned for Saturday April 22 at 2 30.
